Aussiedoodles are a cross between an Australian Shepherd and a Poodle, usually a Miniature or Toy. As a hybrid breed, Aussiedoodles are loyal, friendly and intelligent, with an even temper and great people-pleasure skills. Usually this breed will have its poodle parent's coat, however its characteristics can vary widely and is often unpredictable.
Aussiedoodles are considered low-shedding or non-shedders. This unique breed is a hybrid of the Australian Shepherd and the Poodle. The Australian Shepherd has a dense double-coat that sheds a bit throughout the year. The Poodle is a non-shedding breed. Aussiedoodles are generally considered to be low-shedding or even non-shedding. However, this varies depending on coat type and how closely bred the Aussiedoodle is to the Australian Shepherd.
Aussiedoodles should not be fed cooked bones, uncooked bones, avocados, onions, garlic, chocolate, grapes, raisins, macadamia nuts, sweeteners, and salt. Human food should also not be given to Aussiedoodles, as they lack essential nutrients, and some human food can even be fatal to them. Aussiedoodles should only be fed food designed specifically for dogs, such as dry, canned, and frozen dog food.
