One hour of exercise a day is the standard requirement for a Shiba Inu, meaning they are more active than some breeds, but not as active as others. They can get frustrated if they don’t get enough exercise, and this can lead to potentially destructive behavior. They need lots of stimulation, and a daily walk and lots of playtime back at home is recommended.

Shiba Inus have a reputation for being more difficult to train than some other breeds. They can be very stubborn! But that doesn’t mean you cannot train your dog. They need to find the training stimulating, so you will have to put effort into it, and you will also need to be patient with them to get the best results from training.

When you get a Shiba Inu, it will need to be groomed regularly, but they do not require as much grooming as some other breeds.
