Aussiedoodles are a hybrid cross breed developed from combining the Australian Shepherd and the Poodle. They make excellent family pets due to their intelligence and loyalty; plus they are highly active and require a lot of attention. Aussiedoodles need plenty of physical activity (walking, running, playing) to stay healthy, so be prepared for a high energy pup. Grooming is also something to consider; although they possess an impressive low-shedding coat, it still requires regular brushing and occasional clipping.
The Aussiedoodle coat is soft and fluffy, with several different colors and patterns. It is a combination of the coat from the Australian Shepherd and the Poodle. As such, it has a double-coat, where the outer coat is wavy and dense and the inner coat is soft and plush. It sheds lightly, and requires occasional brushing and bathing, but overall is a low maintenance coat. It tends to shed the least of all the hybrid dogs, and it is hypoallergenic, so it's a great choice for anyone with allergies.
