Aussiedoodles are very smart, active, and loyal. They thrive on human interaction and love to give and receive affection. They are easily trained and have a great desire to please, so they make great family dogs. Aussiedoodles are also hypoallergenic and low-shedding, so they're a great choice for people with allergies.
Aussiedoodle puppies have a hypoallergenic coat that consists of a combination of Poodle and Australian Shepherd fur. This type of coat is wavy and soft, and is more resistant to allergens and is less likely to cause an allergic reaction. Generally speaking, regular brushing and grooming are necessary for maintenance of the coat and to keep allergens down. The breed is also smaller than a regular Australian Shepherd which also helps reduce reactions to people who are particularly sensitive to allergens in pet fur.
Aussiedoodles typically have a diet similar to other dogs of their same size. It's important to feed them a high quality, balanced diet, such as a commercial dry kibble or a homemade meal.
