They possess both the quick training retention of the Poodle, as well as the adaptability of the Australian Shepherd, leading to an easily trainable breed that is both loyal and intelligent.
Aussiedoodles are a hybrid cross between an Australian Shepherd and a Poodle, and, yes, they can be hypoallergenic. It all depends on what mix of genetics they inherit from their parents. Typically, Aussiedoodles with a higher proportion of poodle genes will have less dander and fur, which may make them more suitable for those with allergies. Aussiedoodle coats usually vary in texture, so those with a couch-like or wavy fur are often the most hypoallergenic.
