This designer breed combines the intelligence of a Poodle with the loyal, energetic personality of the Australian Shepherd, making Aussiedoodles smart, friendly family pets. This breed is perfect for active people due to its high energy level. Aussiedoodles come in a wide variety of colors, fur textures and sizes, ranging from toy to standard. They also do not typically shed, making them an ideal choice for individuals who suffer allergies to dog fur.
Aussiedoodles are a low to non-shedding breed of dog, due to the hybrid combination of the Australian Shepherd and a Poodle. Although the Aussiedoodle is not a 100% hypoallergenic dog, in general, Aussiedoodles produce minimal shedding, making them great for people who have allergies or dislike pet hair in the home. Aussiedoodles are well-loved for their curly, scruffy coats, which are often found in colors such as white, brown, beige, and black.
Aussiedoodles, like any dog, should not be given table scraps, as these can contribute to obesity. Also avoid giving them any type of chocolate, which is toxic to dogs, as well as items like cooked bones that could potentially splinter and cause internal damage.
