This makes them an intelligent and active hybrid, with the courage and eagerness to please of the Australian Shepherd, coupled with the trainability and predictability of the Poodle. To top it off, they have a beautiful and often unique color, and they are often hypoallergenic, so they make great pets for those with allergies.
Managing allergies with Aussiedoodles begins with managing their grooming and bathing routine. To minimize allergens, brush their coats regularly ideally once each week to remove dead fur and skin cells. Also, it may help to bathe them frequently at least once a month with a hypoallergenic shampoo to help reduce dander. Additionally, keep Aussiedoodles away from areas where people tend to have more allergies, such as carpeted bedrooms and high-traffic kitchen spaces, to reduce dander buildup in the home.
