Bred from an Australian Shepherd and a Standard Poodle, Aussiedoodles can range in size from 18 to 50 pounds. They have the coat of the Poodle and the presence and alertness of the Australian Shepherd. Aussiedoodles are highly trainable and have low-shedding coats that require regular grooming. As a result, many owners choose to have them professionally groomed.
Managing allergies with Aussiedoodles can be accomplished in several ways. First off, make sure to regularly groom your Aussiedoodle to reduce and remove potential allergens from them. If possible, keep your Aussiedoodle from entering areas of the home with carpets or carpeted furniture, as carpets typically capture and hold dust, pet dander, and pollen, which can aggravate allergies.
