Aussiedoodles are an incredibly unique and interesting breed of dog. Not only do they tend to have an intelligent and spunky nature, but they are also incredibly loyal and loving. Aussiedoodles are a hybrid breed, created by mating an Australian Shepherd and a Poodle, often providing the best of both breeds in one pup! This clever mix results in a low to no shedding coat, often curlier than an Australian Shepherd's and less coarse than a Poodle's. Additionally, because of their mix, they tend to be excellent swimmers and can learn commands quickly.
Aussiedoodles can be hypoallergenic, depending on their ancestry. If half the breeding consists of a Poodle, which is a hypoallergenic breed, then the Aussiedoodle will inherit those traits and will be hypoallergenic. However, Aussiedoodles have some Australian Shepherd in them as well, and Australian Shepherds are not hypoallergenic. If the Aussiedoodle is not bred with a hypoallergenic breed, then the Aussiedoodle will not be hypoallergenic.
