Aussiedoodles are a crossbreed between an Australian Shepherd and a Standard Poodle, usually in a 50/50 ratio. They are considered a "Designer Mutt" because they are crossbred in order to obtain the best qualities of both parents. Aussiedoodles typically have a thick, curly coat of fur, an alert and friendly attitude, and a willingness to please. They are known for being intelligent, moderately active, and easily trained. They thrive when they have plenty of daily mental and physical stimulation and they love their owners unconditionally.
Managing allergies with Aussiedoodles can be done with close monitoring and maintenance. Aussiedoodles are bred to be hypoallergenic, but their individual characteristics such as the type of coat, the amount of saliva and the amount of shedding can still trigger allergies in some people. To help reduce or avoid allergy symptoms, you should keep your Aussiedoodle on a regular grooming schedule, use an air purifier in the home, bathe your dog regularly, use hypoallergenic dog shampoo, and provide them with a balanced diet with limited treats.
