Aussiedoodles are a hybrid mix of Australian Shepherd and Poodle, providing many of the desirable qualities of both breeds. These “designer dogs” are highly intelligent, incredibly loyal, and full of energy. Standard Aussiedoodles can reach 24 inches in height at the shoulder, and can weigh anywhere from 25-65 pounds when fully grown. They come in a variety of colors and have a soft, low-shed coat that can be either wavy or curly.
Aussiedoodles, a mix of Australian Shepherd and Poodle, are considered hypoallergenic. Their coat does not shed, which keeps their allergens down significantly. Many people with allergies do not have reactions to Aussiedoodles since their low-shedding coat means less allergens get released into the air and transferred to people. Aussiedoodles generally have thick, wavy or curly fur which helps keep their allergens under control.
Aussiedoodles, like all dogs, should not be fed chocolate, caffeine, onions, garlic, grapes, or raisins, as these can be poisonous to dogs. Eating a large amount of fat, especially animal fat, can be dangerous to Aussiedoodles as it can cause pancreatitis. Dogs should also be kept away from cooked bones, as these can splinter and become lodged in their throat, or worse, in their digestive tract. Avoid providing nuts to your Aussiedoodle as they may contain aflatoxins which can cause serious health problems.

Generally, Aussiedoodles that come from a Standard sized Australian Shepherd and a Standard sized Poodle will be on the larger side of the spectrum.
