Aussiedoodles are a cross between an Australian Shepherd and a Poodle, resulting in an affectionate, intelligent, and beautiful companion. They are incredibly versatile and can be found playing in the water or challenging themselves with various complex tasks! Aussiedoodles typically live between 12-15 years and their coats will usually be thick and wavy, with a variety of colors and patterns.
Aussiedoodles do tend to shed less than other dogs, however, they are not completely hypoallergenic or non-shedding. While they generally have a low-shedding, low-dander coat, regular brushing and/or grooming will be necessary to keep their hair from matting, and to keep shedding at a minimum. Proper care and nutrition are important to maintain a healthy coat and minimize shedding. For those especially sensitive to pet allergens, it may be beneficial to research other, non-shedding breeds.
Aussiedoodles are a hybrid, so their dietary requirements can vary depending on their specific mix of parent breeds.
