Due to the genetic diversity that comes with this mix, they have a lot of desirable traits like low-shedding coats, intelligence, and an energetic and affectionate temperament. Aussiedoodles can take on the traits of either of the parent breeds, resulting in a great variety of sizes, coat colors, and textures. These dogs are known for their loving and loyal personalities and can make great family companions or therapy/service dogs.
The Aussiedoodle coat is highly sought after by those that need a healthy coat that is both low-shedding and allergy friendly. This hybrid's coat comes in a variety of colors with a soft texture that is very similar to the texture of an Australian Shepherd. It is typically described as wavy hair, with peaks and valleys, that is medium to long in length. The texture of the coat can also range that to from shiney to woolly. With regular brushing and occasional trimming, the Aussiedoodle coat will have a put-together look.

However, they should get at least 45-60 minutes of light to moderate physical activity each day to maintain optimal health.
