Due to the genetic diversity that comes with this mix, they have a lot of desirable traits like low-shedding coats, intelligence, and an energetic and affectionate temperament. Aussiedoodles can take on the traits of either of the parent breeds, resulting in a great variety of sizes, coat colors, and textures. These dogs are known for their loving and loyal personalities and can make great family companions or therapy/service dogs.
The Aussiedoodle coat is highly sought after by those that need a healthy coat that is both low-shedding and allergy friendly. This hybrid's coat comes in a variety of colors with a soft texture that is very similar to the texture of an Australian Shepherd. It is typically described as wavy hair, with peaks and valleys, that is medium to long in length. The texture of the coat can also range that to from shiney to woolly. With regular brushing and occasional trimming, the Aussiedoodle coat will have a put-together look.
Aussiedoodles are a designer hybrid breed, only recently becoming popular in the past few years, and as such they often have unique dietary needs. Unlike other pure-bred dogs, Aussiedoodles can have a combination of both parent breeds' dietary needs, and the best way to ensure that your Aussiedoodle is eating a healthy diet is to take them to the vet for a check-up.

Ideally, 30 minutes of walking per day is the recommended minimum for an adult Aussiedoodle. However, they should get at least 45-60 minutes of light to moderate physical activity each day to maintain optimal health.
Aussiedoodles are known to be incredibly loving and gentle family dogs. They usually get along very well with children of all ages, and like to cuddle and play with them.
