Aussiedoodles are a hybrid breed of Poodle crossed with an Australian Shepherd, and as such, are often classified as a "Working Dog" in terms of the AKC. This classification is reserved for breeds or hybrid breeds that have a history of guarding stock, farms, and vermin hunting.
The Aussiedoodle coat is unique in its texture and coloration. They typically have a medium length, soft, and wavy coat that can be in a variety of colors ranging from golds, creams, whites, and reds. You may also find coats that may have both black and white and/or be a combination of two colors. Because of their hybrid status, it is possible to have a coat with multiple colors and even several different textures within the coat. There is potential for the coat to be either fluffy and voluminous or sleek and straight.
Aussiedoodles are highly active canine companions, and this requires a nutritionally balanced diet. The best diet for an Aussiedoodle will be high in protein, fat and carbohydrates in the right proportions.
