An Aussiedoodle is a hybrid breed that combines the Australian Shepherd with the Standard Poodle. They are an intelligent and affectionate crossbreed, with the Poodle's intelligence and the Australian Shepherd's loyalty and trainability. Aussiedoodles tend to range in size from 13 to 23 inches and can have either a short, wavy coat or a fluffy, curly coat. They can come in a variety of colors including black, brown, sable, merle, blue, and cream and they generally shed less than many other breeds.
Aussiedoodles are a mix between an Australian Shepherd and a Poodle. They are known for being low-shedding dogs, because their coat is a combination of the Poodle's non-shedding fur and the Australian Shepherd's light shedding. Aussiedoodles tend to have a heavier, thicker coat than either of their parent breeds, which is why their shedding tends to be minimal. Although they may shed lightly, it is not a large enough amount to trigger allergies or cause a mess.
