Aussiedoodles are a designer dog breed, also sometimes referred to as a hybrid. They are a cross between an Australian Shepherd and a Poodle. They are generally intelligent and active dogs that can come in a variety of coats and sizes. They typically require exercise and stimulation, making them an ideal breed for those looking for an active companion or working dog. Depending on the characteristics of their parents, they may inherit some features of an Australian Shepherd, such as herding behaviors and physical traits, and others from a Poodle, such as intelligence and low-shedding coats.
Aussiedoodles do have a low-shedding coat, but that does not make them completely non-shedding. They are a hybrid breed, combining traits from both the Australian Shepherd and the Poodle which include a thicker, longer coat.
