Bred from an Australian Shepherd and a Standard Poodle, Aussiedoodles get the best of both parent breeds the intelligence and loyalty of the Shepherd, combined with the intelligence, non-shedding coat, and hypoallergenic qualities of the Poodle. This results in a breed that is incredibly intelligent, loyal, and friendly; making them the ideal family and/or therapy dog.
Aussiedoodles are a mixed breed consisting of an Australian Shepherd and a Poodle, and can be either a Standard, Miniature or Toy size. Though not officially recognized as a breed, these crosses share the desirable traits of both the parent breeds – intelligence, high energy, moderate size, playfulness and a great family dog. As far as allergies are concerned, the Poodle parent adds a desired hypoallergenic advantage to the mix.
