These hybrid dogs are a cross between an Australian Shepherd and a Poodle, making them a unique combination of intelligence and energy. Because of their mix of parent breeds, they are incredibly smart, loyal, and agile animals with a strong desire to please. Aussiedoodles are easily trainable and highly adaptable, meaning they make great family dogs in any environment. They are also incredibly friendly, outgoing, and eager to make lifelong relationships.
Aussiedoodles are generally considered to be low-shedding, non-shedding coats which is why they are often eagerly sought after by those looking for a low-maintenance breed of dog. On average, Aussiedoodles have thicker, curlier hair than regular poodles but less allergens in their coats than other breeds. Their smaller size and unique coat mean they do not shed as much as other breeds making them ideal for those with allergies. When regularly groomed and kept on a good diet, these dogs are also very low-maintenance.
Aussiedoodles should not be fed any foods that could cause food allergies, digestive issues, or obesity like chocolate, chips, crackers, pretzels, sugary cereals, or greasy foods.
