Aussiedoodles are a relatively new hybrid breed, resulting from a cross of the intelligent Australian Shepherd and the curly-coated Poodle. They are highly intelligent, loyal, loving, and have a spunky and playful personality. On average, they weigh between 30 and 40 pounds and grow to a height of between 13 and 24 inches. They have thick curly coats that come in a wide variety of colors and are low to non-shedding, making them ideal for those with allergies.
Aussiedoodles are generally considered to be hypoallergenic, however due to their mixed breed nature allergies may still arise. To help manage allergies associated with this breed, it is important to regularly groom them and brush their coat to reduce the amount of dander. Additionally, wiping them down or giving them baths using special hypoallergenic shampoo can help reduce the amount of allergens that the Aussiedoodle produces. It is also essential to keep their coats free of mats and that your dog is checked periodically for parasites, which can trigger allergies as well.
Aussiedoodles typically require a nutrient-dense diet comprised of healthy foods.
