Aussiedoodles are a truly unique breed of designer dog. With a mix of Australian Shepherd genes and Poodle genes, they bring together the intelligence and athleticism of the Aussie and the gentle temperament and hypoallergenic qualities of the Poodle. The result is a pup that is incredibly smart, friendly, active, and biddable, making them terrific family pets. They tend to be great with children, and being so adaptable, they can easily adjust to any environment and activity level.
The Aussiedoodle coat is quite unique, as the breed usually comes in a variety of different colors and patterns. On average, the coat can be smooth, or flat, or somewhat wavy. The coat is usually very low shedding, and can be groomed to suit one's own style. The length of the coat is usually medium to long, with a good wave pattern, and usually grows relatively thick.
