Aussiedoodles are an incredibly interesting hybrid breed! They are a combination of a Poodle and an Australian Shepherd, two breeds with different temperaments, energy levels, and physiques. Due to the combination of these two breeds, Aussiedoodles are highly intelligent, have low-to-no shedding characteristics, and are overall a very friendly breed, making them perfect for many physical activities and agility training. Another huge advantage with this hybrid breed is they come in an assortment of colors, sizes, and variations.
The Aussiedoodle coat is truly unique! Characterized as double layered and non-shedding, it is generally medium to long in length and can range from straight to slightly wavy. Its innovative combination of the Australian Shepherd and Poodle coats typically includes colors such as black, blue merle, sable, silver, brown, cream and white. While the coat of an Aussiedoodle does need regular brushing and maintenance, it is still relatively low-maintenance compared to many other breeds.
Aussiedoodles are high-energy, active dogs, so the best dog food for them should be nutritionally balanced and provide them with enough energy.
