Bernedoodles are very highly trainable and have a natural instinct for wanting to please their owners; they have a natural inclination to be very good family pets. They require little physical activity, so they are well suited for both active and low energy based lifestyles. Their coat is varied, and they tend to come in a variety of colors.
Bernedoodles are generally a low-shedding breed, but the amount of shedding can vary depending on the type of coat. Some Bernedoodles are particulary low-shedding because of their partially Poodle coat, which is generally hypoallergenic. On the other hand, Bernedoodles with a Bernese Mountain Dog coat tend to have a thicker, wavier coat that may shed more than a typical Poodle coat. In general, most Bernedoodles are those with a partially Poodle coat tend to shed very little to none.
