They are often referred to as "Designer Dogs" and are highly sought after for their good-natured personality and fun-loving nature. One interesting fun fact about Bernedoodles is that since they are a cross-breed, their coat can either be curly or wavy depending on their parent’s lineage. As such, some Bernedoodles have thick, long coats, while others have short, wavy coats.
The Bernedoodle coat is unique, giving them a truly distinct look. This hybrid combines the wavy and typically low-shedding coat of the Poodle with the straight and slightly longer coat of the Bernese Mountain Dog. The result is a shaggy, soft coat that has longer hairs on the chest, back, legs, and head that can often be trimmed. This breed is a true hypoallergenic canine, as it inherited the Poodle's non-shedding fur.
