Because of their intelligence, Bernedoodles can be easily trained, and do best with an owner who is committed to a consistent and gentle training routine. They typically have a moderate to low shedding coat and are considered to be an excellent choice for those with mild allergies.
Bernedoodles are not considered to be hypoallergenic as their own fur can be an allergen in some cases. However, due to their hybrid ancestry, Bernedoodles usually possess some degree of hypoallergenic properties because of the traits they usually inherit. These traits come from their Poodle parent, and can reduce the amount of allergens released into the environment depending on the individual Bernedoodle. While these hypoallergenic traits may be beneficial, they are certainly not guaranteed.
