Bernedoodles are a unique and rare "designer" breed, the product of a breeding between a Bernese Mountain Dog and a Poodle. They tend to retain the more endearing characteristics of both breeds, such as the intelligence and low-shedding coat of the poodle, and the friendly, affectionate, and family-oriented nature of the Bernese Mountain Dog. The result is a loyal companion that loves to be active, loves to cuddle, and loves to please.
Bernedoodles are a relatively new breed, which is a cross between a Bernese Mountain Dog and a Poodle. Although they might have hypoallergenic qualities due to the Poodle heritage, they are not considered a true hypoallergenic breed. Some owners have reported that their Bernedoodle does not produce allergic reactions, but not all Bernedoodles are hypoallergenic.
