This adorable breed was first developed in the United States in the late 1990s as a way to combine the good-natured Bernese Mountain Dog with the clever, non-shedding Poodle. These medium-sized dogs typically weigh between 25 to 40 pounds and stand between 18 and 22 inches tall. They have a thick, medium-length coat which can be a variety of colors, depending on the coat type of the Poodle parent.
