A Bernedoodle is an exceedingly popular and highly sought-after crossbreed dog that has been created by the intentional breeding of a Bernese Mountain Dog and a Standard or Miniature Poodle. The Blended crossbreed combines the smart, loyal, and distinct personality of the Bernese Mountain Dog with the intelligence, agility, and hypoallergenic coat of the Poodle. Bernedoodles are strong, hard-working, and loving dogs who have earned a reputation for being affectionate, loyal, and patient with children.
The Bernedoodle coat features a unique combination of the Bernese Mountain Dog’s long double coat and the Poodle’s curly coat. This hybrid typically has a wavy, low-shedding coat that is soft and fluffy and comes in a variety of colors. The Bernedoodle's fur is sometimes likened to that of a plush teddy bear. Bernedoodles sport colors like black, gray, white, red, sable, cream, and apricot.
