Bernedoodles are one of the most interesting and unique hybrid breeds of dogs. They were created by crossing a Bernese Mountain Dog with a Poodle, combining the best of traits from both breeds to create one of the friendliest, most inteligent, and most loyal breeds out there. Their unique features include their beautiful black, white, and brown coats which tend to either be curly or wavy, depending on the type of Poodle involved in the breeding.
Bernedoodles, the result of crossing a Bernese Mountain Dog with a Poodle, can offer hypoallergenic qualities to some people. This is due to the Poodle heritage of the Bernedoodle, which offers a coat that is considered low shedding and low dander, meaning it may cause fewer allergic reactions. As with all breeds though, results may vary and it should not be assumed that all Bernedoodles are hypoallergenic. It is best to consult an allergist for specific individuals who may have reactions to certain breeds of dog.
Bernedoodles should be given a balanced diet of high-quality dog food tailored to their age and size. The ideal diet for a Bernedoodle should include protein from fish, meat, or eggs; carbohydrates from rice, potatoes, or barley; essential fatty acids; and other nutrients like vitamins, minerals, and fiber.
