Bernedoodles are an increasingly popular hybrid breed of dog, and can be a great option for people with allergies. One of the most important steps in managing your allergies when dealing with any dog is to ensure that the environment they are in is clean and free from excess allergens.
Bernedoodles do have some dietary needs that need to be taken into account. Generally speaking, they have a good appetite and need to be fed a balanced diet of high-quality proteins, healthy fats, and complex carbohydrates. Bernedoodles require a diet that includes omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids as well as enough antioxidants to help with immune support and healthy skin and coat. Their diet should also include digestive enzymes like glucosamine and chondroitin to support their joints and healthy skin and a stool softener to prevent constipation.
Before bringing your Bernedoodle into your home, there are a few steps you should take to ensure that your new pup has a safe and comfortable environment. First, create a space for your dog that is free from hazards bulky furniture should be moved, electrical cords should be tucked away, and any unsafe or fragile items should be kept out of reach. You may also want to consider purchasing crates and/or puppy gates to keep your pup contained in his designated area.
Bernedoodles are considered to have medium to large-sized frames. Depending on the generation of Bernedoodle, their size can range from small to quite large, with males often ranging in size from 23-29 inches tall, and females from 18-26 inches in height. Despite their size, however, these dogs are often considered to be suitable for many types of homes, since they often have a low-shedding coat, and are particularly loyal and friendly pets.
