Bernedoodles are a unique hybrid breed of dog that is a combination of a Bernese Mountain Dog and a Poodle. They are a designer breed that is bred to combine the intelligence, poodle-like agility, and affectionate nature of the Bernese Mountain Dog with the hypoallergenic coat of the Poodle. Bernedoodles usually weigh between 30 and 65 pounds and are either Standard (over 50lbs) or Mini (under 50lbs). They have outgoing personalities and can be active family members for many years.
Bernedoodles are known for their low-shedding coats, as their parent breeds the Bernese Mountain Dog and Poodle both have coats that do not shed an excessive amount. However, they are still considered to have moderate shedding, and can shed a moderate amount throughout the year, but generally less than the average dog.
