Bernedoodles are a hybrid dog breed, a combination of a Poodle and Bernese Mountain Dog. They often have a gentle, affectionate temperament, combined with the intelligence of a Poodle and the size and strength of a Bernese Mountain Dog. As a crossbreed, they don't conform to a particular breed standard, and their size, coat type, and general appearance can vary significantly from one example to the next. They usually come in three different sizes, the Standard Bernedoodle, the Mini Bernedoodle, and the Toy Bernedoodle.
The Bernedoodle coat is typically a cross between a Poodle and a Bernese Mountain Dog. The result is a medium-length to long coat that ranges in texture from a curly, wavy, or straight coat. Depending on the ratio of Poodle to Bernese Mountain Dog, the coat can be low-shedding and hypoallergenic.
