A Bernedoodle is a cross between a Bernese Mountain Dog and a Poodle. It is one of the newer designer breeds, and is part of the "doodle" breed family, which includes Labradoodles and Goldendoodles. Bernedoodles are known for being highly intelligent, easy to train, and they make great family pets. They come in a variety of sizes, depending on which Poodle parent it is bred with, and can range from about 25 lbs to over 100 lbs.
The Bernedoodle coat is an optimal combination of two great coats, the Poodle and the Bernese Mountain Dog. It typically has a softer texture than a Bernese Mountain Dog coat but has more consistency and shine than the Poodle coat. It is a low shedding or non-shedding coat but has more fluff than the Poodle coat.
