Bernedoodles are a type of hybrid Cross breed, made up of both the clever and loyal Bernese Mountain Dog and the gentle and low shedding Poodle. They are a relatively new hybrid breed, and as such are not quite classed yet as any particular group. However, they are certainly classed as a designer or cross breed. Generally, Bernedoodles can range in size from small to large.
The Bernedoodle coat can vary, as some may inherit the long, wavy coat of the Bernese Mountain Dog while others could have a smoother texture like a Poodle. Generally speaking, Bernedoodles have a heavy hypoallergenic coat that is fairly easy to groom; it is usually a mixture of the Bernese Mountain Dog's wavy to shaggy coat and the soft, fluffy coat of the Poodle.
