Bernedoodles are a designer dog breed that are a mix of a Bernese Mountain Dog and a Poodle. They are known for being intelligent, loyal, and friendly companions that make great family pets. Bernedoodles come in a variety of sizes with the standard size being between 50 and 90 pounds. They require regular brushing and grooming to keep their coat looking healthy and beautiful. Bernedoodles are active, playful pups who love spending time outdoors and being around people. They may require a bit of additional training because of their strong intelligence.
Bernedoodles are generally considered to be low-shedding dogs, but no dog is truly non-shedding. Bernedoodles are hybrids of Bernese Mountain Dogs and Poodles, and can take on certain traits from each parent breed. Poodles are non-shedding, but Bernese Mountain Dogs are heavy shedders. Bernedoodles are usually lowto average shedders, shedding very lightly year-round and seasonally depending on the individual dog.
