Bernedoodles are a popular companion breed due to their loving and loyal nature, their stylish coats, and their unique combination of intelligence with ease of training. Further, Bernedoodles are usually considered to be a combination of the playful demeanor of poodles and the gentle, easy-going nature of the Bernese Mountain Dogs.
Bernedoodles are a hybrid breed that have characteristics of both the Bernese Mountain Dogs and the Poodles they are descended from. As such, they are usually labeled as non-shedding or low-shedding dogs due to the fact that the Poodle is a low-shedding breed. The Bernedoodle's hair is more likely to curl, so it can still shed, but it is typically lighter than a Bernese Mountain Dog. In general, Bernedoodles produce a minimal amount of hair, making them a great choice for people who suffer from allergies.
