Bernedoodles are a popular, hybrid, designer breed of dog created by crossing a Bernese Mountain Dog with a Poodle. They are a relatively new breed that is recognized by the American Canine Hybrid Club (ACHC), International Designer Canine Registry (IDCR), Designer Breed Registry (DBR), and Designer Dogs Kennel Club (DDKC). Bernedoodles come in three different sizes: Standard, Miniature, and Toy.
Bernedoodles have a very unique coat due to their mix of both Bernese Mountain Dog and Poodle genetics. Bernedoodles typically possess the striking tricolor coat of the Bernese Mountain Dog and then a curly, hypoallergenic coat due to the Poodle’s influence.
