Bernedoodles are a mix of Bernese Mountain Dog and Poodle breeds. What makes them unique is their social nature, great sense of humor, and their immunity to most inherited genetic disorders. Not only are they friendly and fun-loving, they’re also highly intelligent, trainable and eager to please. Some other fun facts about Bernedoodles include their hypoallergenic coat that doesn't require much grooming, their ability to adjust to various climates, and their athleticism that allows them to excel at activities such as running, swimming, and agility.
The Bernedoodle's coat is a beautiful combination of its Bernese Mountain Dog and Poodle parent breeds. Generally, the coat is wavy and lowto non-shedding. Depending on the genetic contribution from each parent breed, the Bernedoodle's coat may be curly, straight, wiry, or soft. As for colors, Bernedoodles come in a variety of hues, including black, black and white, chocolate, cream, and red. The fur can range in length from short to long.
Bernedoodles typically enjoy a balanced and nutritious diet. Depending on their lifestyle and age, they may enjoy commercial, store bought, dog food or a combination of cooked lean meats, vegetables, grains, and commercially produced dog food. It is important to ensure that they get adequate amounts of both protein and fat in their diet.
