Bernedoodles are a designer breed of dog, created by crossing a Bernese Mountain Dog with a Poodle. They are very intelligent and highly trainable, and they boast a gentle, loving temperament. They tend to have a wooly, curly coat that ranges from light to dark brown, and they can come in a variety of sizes, ranging from tiny toy-size, to large standard-size. Furthermore, they are an excellent choice for those allergic to pet dander, as their coat is considered hypoallergenic.
The Bernedoodle coat is a unique blend of the Bernese Mountain Dog's thick and silky coat and the poodle's coarse and curly coat, giving it a unique and striking texture and appearance. Bernedoodles typically have a medium-length, wavy, fur coat with a range of colors including black, white, silver, brown, tan and gold. The breed is typically non-shedding, making them ideal pets for those with allergies.
Bernedoodles should not be fed any type of food that is high in carbohydrates, as they don't process these complex sugars as quickly as other breeds.
