The most interesting thing about Bernedoodles is their unique combination of parent breeds the Bernese Mountain Dog and the Poodle. Not only do they inherit desirable traits from both breeds, such as intelligence, agility, and loyalty, but they also inherit a stunning, two-toned coat that comes in a variety of colors. They are highly adaptive and can thrive in a variety of environments. Bernedoodles make wonderful family and companion pets due to their loving nature, gentle disposition, and eagerness to please.
Bernedoodles vary in their coat types depending on the parent breeds used to create them, so some coats may be fluffier and longer and some coats may be curlier and shorter. Generally speaking, they do have a soft, plush feel, and their coats usually range from wiry to shaggy in texture. Bernedoodle coats can be easily kept looking great with regular brushing to remove dirt and loose hair, trimming the hair every month or two to keep a uniform length throughout, and routine washing every few weeks.
Bernedoodles are a unique breed of dog created by crossing a Bernese Mountain Dog with a Poodle. As such, their dietary needs are similar to both breeds. Generally, Bernedoodles need a high-quality dry dog food made up of lean proteins, complex carbohydrates, healthy fats, vitamins, minerals, and probiotics. It should also have a sufficient quantity of antioxidants for their age and activity level. Depending on their activity level, a Bernedoodle may have additional nutritional needs like added caloric intake or specialized food for joint health.

Bernedoodles come in three distinct size categories; Miniature, Standard, and Giant. Miniature Bernedoodles usually weigh in around 10 24 pounds when fully grown. Standard Bernedoodles typically weigh in between 25 49 pounds at maturity. Finally, Giant Bernedoodles typically range from 50 -90 pounds in size. The exact size of an individual Bernedoodle will be determined by the genetics of the parent animals, as well as any selective breeding that has been done.
Bernedoodles need a good amount of exercise like any other active breed. Generally, it's recommended they get 30 minutes to an hour of meaningful activity most days of the week.
