Bernedoodles are a hybrid class of dogs created by crossing a Bernese Mountain Dog and a Poodle. They are a relatively new breed and make for very loving, intelligent, and loyal pets. Often referred to as the 'gentle giants', they are a medium-to-large-sized breed. Generally, they have a soft, fluffy, low-shedding coat and produce a wide variety of colors. On average, Bernedoodles require a moderate amount of exercise and tend to become very attached to their owners.
Bernedoodles can be an excellent option for people who suffer from allergies, as they do not shed much or produce much dander, a common irritant for people with allergies. While it's likely impossible to completely eliminate reactions to allergens from having a pet, there are several steps you can take to reduce the severity of allergic reactions you may have to a Bernedoodle. First, be sure to groom your Bernedoodle regularly and thoroughly. Regular brushing and bathing helps reduce the amount of dander shed, and bathing your pup weekly can decrease the severity of reactions.
Bernedoodles are usually recommended to eat a well balanced diet consisting of regular dry kibble that is designed specifically for large breed dogs. Bernedoodles are a cross between a Bernese Mountain Dog and a Poodle.
