Bernedoodles are a designer hybrid breed, resulting from a cross between a Bernese Mountain Dog and a Poodle. They are a medium-sized breed, typically weighing between 25 and 50 pounds. They are intelligent, loyal, and social and tend to get along well with children and other pets. Bernedoodles make excellent family pets and they have great energy and a fun loving disposition. Grooming needs are moderate and require occasional brushing and professional trims. These designer dogs are also quite intelligent and respond well to obedience training.
Bernedoodles are often considered to be non-shedding dogs, and the fact is that this particular breed does not shed the same way that many other breeds do. Generally, Bernedoodles do have some shedding, but not to the same level as other breeds. All Bernedoodles have a double coat, which is made up of the curly, wiry, outer coat, and the softer, downy undercoat. Bernedoodles may benefit from higher fat content than other breeds due to their active lifestyle.
