Bernedoodles are a unique mix of Bernese Mountain Dogs and Poodles. Their intelligence and eagerness to please makes them incredibly easy to train. They are friendly and affectionate and often make great family pets. They tend to be low to moderate shedders and their coats come in a variety of colors and textures, depending on the type of coat they inherit from their parents. They are also relatively healthy breeds and make excellent long term companions. They do need some exercise and are sociable so having another four legged friend in the house is beneficial.
Bernedoodles are a relatively new hybrid breed, created by crossing a Bernese Mountain Dog and a Standard Poodle. Because their coats vary widely between individuals, it's difficult to say if Bernedoodles are truly hypoallergenic. Because they are a mix of Poodle and Bernese Mountain Dog, they do tend to have fur that is more hypoallergenic than Bernese Mountain Dogs alone, but this is not a guarantee.
When selecting the best food for your Bernedoodle, you'll want to focus on high-quality, natural ingredients that provide adequate nutrition and promote a healthy coat, teeth, and skin.
