They are typically considered a designer breed due to the two distinct breeds being combined to create a hybrid breed. Bernedoodles come in three sizes, standard, medium and mini, making them a breed appropriate for persons of all ages. They are highly intelligent animals and, typically, quite friendly. This hybrid breed is rather low-maintenance and can make a great companion to many types of families.
The Bernedoodle coat can vary, depending on its parent breeds. Generally, Bernedoodles are characterized by their beautiful, medium to long length coat. It can vary from light silk waves to tight curls or spirals. The color of the coat can range from black, white, brown, and many variations in between.
