Bernedoodles are one of the most unique and interesting hybrids out there! This designer breed is the perfect combination of Poodle’s intelligence and Bernese Mountain Dog’s striking markings. The two parent breeds each have their own personality, but when combined the result is an amazingly lovable and loyal companion. Unlike most other designer breeds, Bernedoodles tend to be especially intelligent and trainable. Their coat is hypoallergenic and wavy which means minimal shedding.
Bernedoodles are famously known for being low-shedding and hypoallergenic. They are considered a crossbreed between a Bernese Mountain Dog and a Poodle, which are both known for their non-shedding coats. Generally, the Bernedoodle has wavy, curly, or straight fur and the coat is often low-shedding due to the Poodle genetics that are blended into their DNA. Therefore, Bernedoodles are considered non-shedding dogs.
Bernedoodles, like all dogs, should be fed a balanced diet that is tailored to the individual needs of the animal. This can include kibbles, wet food, and/or pre-made meals formulated specifically for Bernedoodles.
