Bernedoodles are highly intelligent, loyal, and gentle, just like the Bernese Mountain Dog, yet their Poodle ancestry also makes them incredibly trainable, energetic, and hypoallergenic. On top of that, Bernedoodles come in a variety of sizes and colors, depending on the type of Poodle used in the cross-breeding. This makes them incredibly unique to any other breed in the dog world.
Bernedoodles are a cross breed between a Bernese Mountain Dog and a Poodle, so it is difficult to say with certainty whether they are hypoallergenic. However, research has shown that a Bernedoodle's coat type largely depends on which of the two parents the pup takes after. Generally, Bernedoodles bred from a Poodle parent are likely to be hypoallergenic, while those with a Bernese Mountain Dog parent may not be hypoallergenic.
Bernedoodles, like any other breed, are omnivores and benefit from a mix of properly balanced dry and wet foods, depending on the age, weight and activity level of the dog.
