What's really unique about them is that they are a hybrid breed, crossing a Bernese Mountain Dog with a Poodle. This combination results in a calm and gentle dog with a personality that's loyal and devoted. They have the intelligence of the Poodle, but their outgoing and loving nature come from the Bernese Mountain Dog. They also tend to be very trainable and are great for families with children.
Managing allergies with Bernedoodles begins with selecting a pup with low dander and low shedding capabilities. This can be done by looking for a puppy with tight, wiry curls, straight fur, or a combination of these two traits. Regular grooming for the pup is essential in order for it to be low maintenance and low shedding. Brushing the Bernedoodle twice a week, and bathing it once per month, can help reduce its dander and allergen production.
It is important to feed a Bernedoodle a diet full of high-quality, nutrient-rich ingredients.
