One of the most interesting things about Bernedoodles is that they come in a variety of sizes, ranging from miniature to standard. They also come in a variety of colors and coat types, including tricolor, brindle, sable, phantom, and more. Additionally, Bernedoodles can have either a straight coat, a wavy coat, or a curly coatsomething that appeals to a variety of owners.
Bernedoodles are considered to be hypoallergenic breeds because of their tendency to barely shed. Because they are a cross between a Bernese Mountain Dog and a Poodle, they often have non-shedding coats, even when the Bernese Mountain Dog parent of the Bernedoodle is a heavy shedder. Bernedoodle coats range from low-shedding to non-shedding depending on the type and amount of coat they inherited from their parents.
Bernedoodles are known for having a hearty appetite! Generally speaking, they should be fed a balanced, high-quality diet that includes a combination of wet and dry kibble, fresh fruits and vegetables, and lean meats such as chicken, beef, or fish. Quality kibbles should have plenty of vitamins, minerals, and amino acids, as well as essential fatty acids such as omega-3 and omega-6. In terms of fresh fruits and vegetables, recommended items include carrots, pumpkin, apples, bananas, blueberries, and other types of produce.
Before getting a Bernedoodle, it's important to have a few essential items. First, be sure to have plenty of quality dog food on hand.
