A Bernedoodle is a crossbreed between a Bernese Mountain Dog and a Poodle. Bernedoodles are unique in that they have low-to-non shedding coats and a loving, loyal, and friendly temperament. They typically weigh anywhere from 25 to 70 lbs and can be found in just about any size. They typically vary in colors, including black and white, tri-colored, brindle, sable, and even apricot and phantoms.
Bernedoodles will not necessarily cause you to have allergies as they are a relatively hypoallergenic breed; however, it's important to remember that all dogs shed and dander, which can trigger allergies. So, while Bernedoodles may have a reduced allergic reaction, it's still possible depending on an individual's personal sensitivity. It can be helpful to spend some time with Bernedoodles before making the commitment to be sure there is no adverse reaction.
Bernedoodles generally do not have any more dietary needs than any other similar sized breed. Generally speaking, a good quality dog food that is suitable for the size and age of the dog is recommended.
