They have the intelligence of a Poodle and the loving, gentle nature of a Bernese Mountain Dog. Generally, these dogs are most friendly with people and animals. They are loyal, loving and highly trainable. Bernedoodles tend to be high-energy, making them great fit for active homes. They are known to be low-shedding and, as a result, they are often recommended to families with allergies.
The Bernedoodle coat is a beautiful combination of soft and shaggy. Depending on the generation, the coat can range from wavy to curly, with a mixture of the Bernese Mountain Dog's longer straight outer coat and the Poodle's shorter, more fine inner coat.
