Bernedoodles are an incredibly interesting breed, and the most interesting thing about them is that they are a designer hybrid breed of the Bernese Mountain Dog and the Poodle. It's a relatively new breed, having only been developed within the past several decades, and is created by the intentional breeding of two different breeds. They are extremely intelligent and can pick up commands, even by those who haven't had dog training experience, easily. Bernedoodles are loving and loyal animals that tend to get along well with both people and other pets.
The Bernedoodle coat always comes in a variety of colors, textures, and lengths. Depending on the parent breeds of the Bernedoodle, these coats can range from being wavy or curly, short or long, straight or even woolly. Generally, these pups have a hypoallergenic coating with minimal shedding or none at all, so they are a good fit for those who might have allergies.
Bernedoodles are usually a hybrid cross between Bernese Mountain Dogs and Poodles, so their dietary needs will vary depending on which of the two breeds the individual Bernedoodle leans moire toward. That being said, most Bernedoodles will generally need a diet consisting of quality kibble formulated for large breeds, as well as occasional fresh human-grade foods like raw meat and vegetables.
